Let's look at the third of the 4 models available which is the Roland 40XL .... The CUBE 40XL offers 40 watts of power through an 10" high-performance custom designed speaker, there are discrete footswitchable channels via the optional Boss FS series footwsitches, JC Clean and Lead channels with Solo modes for each. Ten COSM amp models are provided, including the new Extreme and there are 8 effects on-board, including Heavy Octave, COSM vintage Spring Reverb, and Power Squeezer for full gain at low volume. An Aux Input allows portable music players to be connected for jam-along fun, whilst the cherry on the cake is an 80- second phrase looper. As stated earlier, should you wish to you can connect a portable music player such as an MP3 or iPod to the Aux-In jack and jam along with your favourite songs, there's also a direct recording out and a headphone socket for silent practice.
